Fallow Deer at Boughton Monchelsea
A selection of shots taken at Boughton Deer Park near Maidstone in Kent. The species shown here is the fallow deer, of which there are many varieties in the UK. The most common is the tan/brown variety shown in these pics with their long shaggy winter coats on. In the summer their coats are short with a white spotting pattern. There is also a white variety that can been seen in some of the pictures. This is not an albino trait but a true white coloured breed.
