Autumn Leaves

A collection of autumn leaves from around Maidstone, Kent, England. Most of the pics were taken around East Farleigh – near the River Medway – and woods around Senacre and the village of Langley. I tried to capture variations of patterns exposed in the veins and structure of the leaves as they become damaged and decomposed. I also wanted to capture the changing colours of the leaves – the browns, reds and yellows that mix in with the shades of green and then begin to dominate as autumn draws on, leaving no trace of green but a cornucopia of different and striking colours in its place.
