Classic MG Sports Car Abandoned in a Field
I came across this rusty carcass of a classic mg sports car sitting abandoned in a field – it seems to have found a new use as a log holder! From the look of the chassis and the distinct lack of an engine, the bones have been picked clean of the MG’s most valuable spare parts by the vehicle vultures. From a quick search on the net I found the model of the car to be a fixed-roof MGB GT Sports Car. As far as I could find out, these cars were produced from the mid 1960’s to the late 1970’s in UK. This model featured a greenhouse (the structure built around the rear and side windows plus wind-shield ) designed by acclaimed Ferrari designer Pininfarina. This sports car was an early example of the vehicle class of sporty hot hatchbacks that became very popular in the mid eighties.
