Frozen Spider

This spider is actually dead – I found it in an allotment shed, stretching its hairy legs out, frozen in its final moments of life as if petrified by some ancient, magical creature. I don’t know how long it was dead but, as can be seen from the photo, all the fine details of the spider are still present.
