Red Sky at Night
“Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight. Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning.”
So a lot of shepherds must have been pretty happy looking at this sky! A selection of shots along the Medway river in Maidstone, Kent on an early November evening. Some of the pics have had been hdred to balance exposure between sky and landscape. By combining a low exposure shot with a high exposure shot, a balanced image can be created where both the sky and the landscape are displayed more effectively and at the correct – or rather, desired – exposure.
Awesome pictures and I would love to learn how to balance exposure between sky and landscape. I use a Nikon D5100 so I have on board HDR just not sure how to use it LOL
Thanks, scott glad u like the pictures 🙂 If onboard hdr is not getting desired effect, I’m sure you can set your nikon up to shoot multiple shots at different exposures, then combine them in a software package to create one hdr image. My canon 7d has this option so the d5100 should as well
