Hoverfly and Light

One hot summer evening plus a large kitchen light shining its goodness plus a nearby open window equals at least one insect buzzing around the light being annoying. In my recreation of the equation i created, the result was a common hoverfly – a marmalade fly – buzzing confusedly around my kitchen lightshade. I captured some nice shots of the fly with the patterned plastic, industrial-style light shade acting as a cool background.
