Yellow Staghorn Mushroom

Its latin name is Calocera Viscosa but it is commonly known as yellow fingers or the yellow staghorn mushroom because the ends of the fruiting body have a similar shape to the antlers of the staghorn beetle. These small shrooms ( up to 3cm ) can be found growing on dead wood and the roots of coniferous trees.

These examples of the pretty mushroom were found in the woods of Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, UK.
