Classic Motorbike Racing at Lydden Hill

These photos are from a British Historic Racing meeting at Lydden Hill racetrack near Canterbury in July 2013. I went to the track wearing my sports photo-journalist hat to take photos of my uncle peter’s classic bsa motorbike. It was racing against similarly specced motorbikes featuring in the pre-1948 bike class i.e. all bikes originally manufactured before 1948. The green BSA motorbike featured has fixed front forks and uses pure ethanol for fuel so is in fact super green in more ways than one – ethanol fuel, when used, produces next-to-no waste product.
